I was honored to serve on this review panel with respected colleagues. We had some pointed deliberations, but in the end selected some fine recipients for this award.
New Times Broward-Palm Beach is excited to kick off our second-annual MasterMind Awards. We’re giving away $1,000 apiece to four local artists.
Fashion designers, filmmakers, visual artists, performance artists, tattoo artists, and more are invited to apply. We’re especially interested in cutting-edge art and people who have helped foster a local art scene. Curators or other promoters of the arts are also encouraged to apply.
Alternately, individuals can nominate an artist whose work they admire. To be eligible, applicants must work, reside, or attend school in Broward or Palm Beach counties. (Miami peeps, do not fear — our sister paper, Miami New Times, holds the same contest in January-February. You can enter that one!)
