“MIAMI – Darlene and Jorge Pérez. based in South Florida, have donated a collection of twenty-four paintings made by nineteenth- and twentieth-century Cuban artists—including Eduardo Abela, Victor Manuel, Augusto Menocal, Carlos Enriquez, René Portocarrero and José Bedia—to Florida International University’s Frost Art Museum. ‘The donated collection includes portraits and landscapes of rural and city life in Cuba,’ reports NBC Miami. ‘It will be used as an educational resource at the museum and the school’s Cuban Research Institute.’”
