2014 VILLAGE HALL ART IN PUBLIC PLACES – Miami Shores Fine Arts Commission | Miami Shores Village
The Miami Shores Fine Arts Commission has established the Village Hall Lobby Gallery as an extension of Miami Shores Art in Public Places Program. Artwork by local South Florida artists is loaned by the artist for one year and displayed at the special request of Miami Shores Fine Arts Commission. No fees are to be paid to the artist for commission or acquisition.
Submissions from professional artists based in South Florida are now being accepted for consideration for the 2014 installation. Acceptable media forms include: sculpture, paintings, murals, drawings, or multi-media pieces.
Artwork must be sized to successfully install and display in a 450 SF space along a 24′ wall. Gallery-style lighting exists. Cosmetic changes to wall space are acceptable, but major structural changes to exhibit space are not possible.
Artist will receive exposure in a public space within a prominent building located on a heavily traveled state road as well as exposure for possible sale of artwork or requests for further commissions.
