Water Tower Project Designs Needed

The Coral Springs Museum of Art (CSMART), in partnership with the City of Coral Springs and a Citizens Task Force were the recipients of the Community Foundation of Broward’s “Art of the Community” Grant.This project will use art as a catalyst to create a sense of community and celebrate the diversity present in the City of Coral Springs. Residents representing all the cultures of the City will be involved in the design and painting of a graphic on the water tower in Mullins Park.

FY 2013 Our Town – NEA Grant

Organizations may apply for creative placemaking projects that contribute to the livability of communities and place the arts at their core. An organization may request a grant amount from $25,000 to $200,000.

Deadline: January 14, 2013.

Summer Fellowship for International Arts Managers

Launched in 2008, the DeVos Institute’s Summer Fellowship for International Arts Managers offers international arts managers an immersive program of study in arts management strategy. For four weeks each summer, for three consecutive years, Fellows participate in seminars, group projects, individual mentorships, and practical assignments supervised by Institute leadership and Kennedy Center senior staff.

The South Miami Drug-Free Coalition Seeks an
After-School Theatre Instructor

The South Miami Drug-Free Coalition, in cooperation with South Miami Middle Community School, is seeking an artist educator or teaching artist to develop and present a 14-week afterschool program that combines theatre arts learning with prevention. The program uses performance art (improvisation) to teach resilience to drug and alcohol use and other risky behaviors. It targets students at South Miami Middle School who do not participate in afterschool care and who are unsupervised from the end of the school day until evening.

Application Deadline is November 23, 2012.
