MIAMI, FL – July 2012 – The Performing Arts Center Trust Board of Directors welcomes two new board members: Hank Klein, appointed to the Board by the City of Miami, and Miles Wilkin, appointed by County Commissioner Esteban Bovo. Mr. Klein serves as Vice Chairman of Blanca Commercial Real Estate and Mr. Wilkin is Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Key Brand Entertainment. The Performing Arts Center Trust is comprised of business, civic and philanthropic leaders who oversee management of the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.
“Hank and Miles bring tremendous skill sets and a deep understanding of the Miami community and the entertainment industry, both of which will add value and additional perspective to the Adrienne Arsht Center’s diverse board,” said Mike Eidson, Chairman of the Performing Arts Center Trust Board of Directors. “We are excited to have them join us as we continue our work transforming Miami into one of the world’s capitals for the performing arts.”
As Vice Chairman of Blanca Commercial Real Estate, Hank Klein helps spearhead the firm’s new business development efforts. He is a real estate industry veteran and a longtime participant in community and civic affairs, currently serving on the boards of directors for the Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA), Miami Finance Forum, and the Miami Science Museum. Previous roles include Chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and Vice Chairman of the Miami-Dade College board of trustees. Mr. Klein earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami.
Miles Wilkin is the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Key Brand Entertainment (KBE), a premier live theatre and interactive entertainment company. His more than 30 years of experience have seen Mr. Wilkin emerge as one of the leading innovators in the international entertainment industry. He previously served as the CEO of Broadway Across America, where he was responsible for the North American Presenting and Theatre Operating businesses. Mr. Wilkin has earned numerous awards, including six TONY (not sure if Tony is capitalized, also might need a copyright mark, not sure) Awards and a Theatre Lifetime Achievement Award from the League of American Theatres and Producers.
