Speaking was Scott Rothkopf, curator, Whitney Museum of American Art. Rothkopf talked about three projects at the museum, including Glenn Ligon’s mid-career retrospective, which was my main reason for attending. However, a previous temporary project with artists Wade Guyton and Kelley Walker was really fascinating. In Miami, the general public seem to only associate the Wynwood murals as public art, yet there are other things, exciting things, that get totally overlooked. (Photos: © Onajide Shabaka)
