There is Still Time to See “adaptation” at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood
Hollywood, Fla. – Come witness scraps of discarded material transformed into newly fashioned works of art in “adaptation,” an exhibition now on display at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood through Sunday, Aug. 1. Featured artists are Bradley Arthur, Rosemarie Chiarlone, Xavier Cortada, Leah Dixon, Tawnie Silva, Maitejosune Urrechaga, and Daniel Wurtzel.
“adaptation” offers a selection of contemporary artists whose practice incorporates discarded materials in order to create new forms of artistic expression. The artwork includes all manner of refuse such as abandoned personal items and obsolete functional objects, which become reinvigorated when used as major components.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $7 for adults, $4 for students, seniors, and children ages 4 to 13; and free to Center members as well as children under the age of 4. Free parking is available at the Center, located at 1650 Harrison St.
