I recently asked a young friend why he was fighting for the rich, people who could care less about him. He said he didn’t call it “fighting for the rich,” but it was. He said the wealthiest US citizens should not have their taxes higher to something more equitable to help the nation. After WWII the wealthiest paid a much higher tax rate than they do now.
“Not much new here – but it is well explained. Personally, instead of focusing on a subjective comparison of what people thought would be ‘fair’, I would have liked to see more visuals illustrating how this has changed over the past few decades.”
