In Miami’s Wynwood district, the party has overtaken the art

WE already know this, and have known it for some time. I was in a discussion just yesterday with a gallerist in Broward talking about why they shut down their gallery walk. Also, the Las Olas street fair and how it has hijacked sales from the Las Olas galleries. Times are hard but they felt it was a disservice, and a waste of money, for the sales they got from their gallery walk.

In Miami’s Wynwood district, the party has overtaken the art:

“The downtown warehouse district known as Wynwood has become recognized internationally for its art scene. But galleries say revelry has hijacked the neighborhood’s monthly art walk.”
