Miami Design District Opportunity for artists to display their work

November, 2011—Miami– LGD Communications, a full-service advertising agency located in the epicenter of Miami’s Art and Design District, is offering an exclusive opportunity for local artists to promote their work.

The agency is launching a project in which participants can design a one-of-a-kind mural in the hopes of being selected to paint the completely bare wall on the second floor of LGD’s building. Located prominently on North Miami Avenue and 195, the agency’s office is an excellent opportunity for LGD to promote the local art community as well as the work of local artists.

Len Dugow, President and Chief Creative Officer of LGD, hopes this opportunity will be equally beneficial to local artists and the community as well as his agency. “With the 10th Annual Art Basel Miami Beach starting this weekend, we wanted to share something with the local art community while finding the perfect face for our new office,” Dugow said.

LGD recently moved to the new office on North Miami Avenue in late August to support the agency’s expansion and increased staff.

“It’s not easy to get your artwork shown in such a high-traffic area in one of Miami’s most art-centric areas. We want to give a local artist the chance to showcase his or her work and help promote their portfolio through our building and unique marketing and branding strategies,” Dugow said.

“We are located in an area that is surrounded by truly talented people who want to show the world what they can do, and we want to help them do just that,” Dugow added.

As part of the project, LGD will supply all the paint, supplies, scaffolding and any other materials needed for an artist to complete their vision on the 13-by-45-foot blank canvas that is the front of the agency’s building.

To submit a design to the project, an artist need only visit http://lgdcom.com/art-wall and follow the directions to download the entry form and design template, which they can then send back to LGD via email or one of the agency’s social media outlets.

In addition to giving the chosen artist a canvas for their work, LGD plans to promote the artist and his or her portfolio via an online branding and marketing campaign, increasing awareness for the artist.

Though there is no deadline currently defined, LGD hopes to receive enough submissions during Art Basel and by mid December to choose a design and begin creating the mural by the end of the year.
