The regular season of the NFL will begin next September 9th, and there is something more interesting to see than the deathly ugly sculptures of Mr. Britto. Our Miami Dolphins and the football teams of the AFC East make this one of the divisions that promises more action for the 2010 season.

The Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets were strengthened this offseason, but the New England Patriots still remain as the favorites in the NFL predictions to win the title of the division.

For its part, the Dolphins had good signings through free agency and strengthened their defense through the draft.

The biggest problem for the Dolphins last season was their defense, and for this season it could continue, taking into consideration that the Miami lost Jason Taylor, Joey Porter, and Akin Ayodele.

However, the signing of linebacker Karlos Dansby, defensive end Jared Odrick and linebacker Koa Misi could fill that weak area in the Miami Dolphins’ defense.

For his part, Dansby is a talented player who could be regarded as one of the best hires of this team, and he has been one of the most productive linebackers in the NFL since he was a rookie.

In addition, the hiring of the defensive coordinator Mike Nolan could be seen as another positive aspect. Nolan has shown his ability to gather players in a short time to create an efficient and aggressive defensive group.

On the other hand, on offense, the Dolphins signed elite wide receiver, Brandon Marshall, and it’s expected that with his signing, the Miami Dolphins offensive will have a better record in the passing game.

The Dolphins were ranked No. 20 in passing offense last season and this is why Marshall comes to fill a great need for the team of the Miami Dolphins.

They also have a great weapon in Chad Henne, and this could be a great season in the career of this quarterback.

Henne has shown to have what it takes to become a great quarterback for the Dolphins and this year must demonstrate that he deserves to be the starting quarterback of this team.

Finally, the Dolphins could fight this season for a playoff spot, but they will have a tough battle against the New York Jets and New England Patriots for the AFC East title.

(At some point we’ll have to get back to the stadium to show why Romero Britto’s sculptures have been decried as ugly.)
