The Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute (AEI)

A program for artists aimed at strengthening their operating infrastructure and expanding their businesses. AEI is an artist-focused course of study designed to assist individual artists of all disciplines (visual, musicians, writers, media, theater, performing arts) by cultivating and advancing their business skills. The AEI course covers all aspects of developing an artistic business, and helps creative entrepreneurs identify and develop their personal brand, develop strategies for communicating with their target market, raise capital and identify a variety of tools for protecting their work legally.

Presented on consecutive Saturdays: June 5, 12, 19, 26, 2010 at ArtServe, Inc. The Artist as an Entrepreneur Institute (AEI) will be offered as a series of 18 classes convening over three full-day trainings (9:00AM- 6:00PM), on June 5-19, 2010 with a “Business Plan Clinic” on June 26, 2010 (9:00AM- 2:00PM). Presented by the Broward Cultural Division, ArtServe, Inc., and the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC), Cleveland, OH. Registration $100. per person, for all four Saturdays. To prepare for each session, registrants will also receive the AEI Coursebook, an indispensable resource developed by CPAC, and tailored to the specific needs of artist entrepreneurs.
